Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta is the world busiest airport in terms of passenger traffic (88,032,086 passengers) and the number of takeoffs and landings, which amounted to 994,346 in 2010.
Boeing 787 Dreamliner
Boeing 787 isn't the largest airliner in the aviation history but together with Airbus A380 they've been the most modern and technologically advanced. In 2005 the process of developing the newest wide-body jet airliner began and it took over 8 years for first airline (LOT Polish Airlines) to make a maiden flight. The Boeing Company together with other foreign companies were working to develop a twin-engine Dreamliner.
